Path to Degree and Licensure

The Graduate Record Exam Scores (GRE) is no longer a requirement to apply for the program.

The School Leadership Program is an MEd program that also leads to Utah State Education Leader Licensure. It is designed for students who work full-time and can attend school only part-time.

  • Part-time program (14 months to complete)
  • Courses held in Utah County and Salt Lake County
  • Flexible scheduling, evening coursework available at local schools
  • Cohort size of 12-15
  • $11,000-$12,000 approximate total tuition costs with generous scholarships
  • Approximately 75% of graduates get school leadership jobs

Application Process

Submit Program Application

Applications due February 15. Submit program application through Graduate Studies.

Submit Proper Documents
  • Undergraduate Degree Transcripts
  • 3 Letters of Recommendation
  • Resume
  • Letter of Intent
  • Copy of most recent Teaching Evaluation or its equivalent
  • Utah Professional Teaching License (formerly Level II or III License)

Applications will be reviewed in late February.
Competitive applicants will be invited to participate in a face-to-face interview in March.
Admission decisions will be made by the end of March.
